VI AFRICA
Working closely in partnership with RedEarth Fixers, our latest kit hub to launch in Africa will be VI Kenya based in Nairobi later in 2025.
The hub will be a complete in-country solution with cameras, lenses, lighting and sound available for hire. RedEarth Fixers also offer a plethora of additional local services including post production, security and location scouting to help make your production experience as stress free as possible.
Nairobi
With Tanzania a hotspot for productions, we forged a long-term partnership with National Geographic Explorer Hans Ngoteya, Co-Founder of Ngoteya Wild, to help build and manage our kit hub and ultimately stop the need for shipping heavy kit back and forth to the UK.
After a successful launch in 2024, we're on the road to successfully building a rental economy in Tanzania and creating a local talent pool that production companies can hire in-country as opposed to flying local teams out.
Tanzania
In partnership with A to Z Solutions, VI Zambia will launch in early 2025.
In additional to reducing the carbon footprint of productions, we'll be focused on technical training and apprenticeships for young Zambians, as well as offering bespoke discounted packages for productions focused on conservation and human-wildlife conflict. We'll also be sharing regular footage for educational use with NGOs and local communitites.
Lusaka
Following the successful launch of our hub in Tanzania, VI Rental Africa is looking to expand the number of Kit Hubs across the continent, to be able to offer production companies with a sustainable kit rental solution.
The purpose of ours hubs is to offer a complete in-country filming solution, from cameras and lenses to lighting, sound and underwater solutions. This avoids flying tonnes of equipment from the UK and serves as a base to train in-country talent.
